HEALTH CHECKS
One of the main challlenges that a computer user faces is keeping
their computer Virus, Malware and Spyware free, also ensuring its kept
running smoothly. Number One IT Systems Health check will fix many PC
performance issues, helping to prevent them reoccurring again.
Our
health check consists of several tasks that help improve the
performance of your computer. You should seriously consider how Health
Check if your computer is:
- Running Slowly - A number of things can cause your system to run slowly, Number One IT Systems will help resolve this.
- Freezing - Usually you still can use your computer but the program you was using has stopped responding or frozen.
- Crashing - This happens when you can't do anthing
- Virus or Malware infected
- This can cause your internet to run slowly, taking minutes to get a
webpage up, this is one of the most common problems people face.
- Computers older than one year - Any computer that is not cleaned regularly will aquire internal dust.
Our Health Check includes:
- Full Virus/Spyware Scan & Removal - We use our own software to scan and remove threats.
- Cleanup of temporary files
- Everytime you browse the internet or install an application this
creates temporary files, having to many of these can cause your
computer to run slow
- Windows Updates/Patches - Essential in keeping your system from being vuneralbe to hackers and viruses
- Startup Items
- Everytime you log into your computer, you will get items loading up
auctomatically, to many of thses in the startup entry could drastically
slow your system down, has it waits for these items to finish loading
up.
- Defragmenting - If your hard drive requires it
Number One IT Systems will defragment your hard disk, this will have
the benefit of reorganising your data for faster access by your system,
Please note this does not in anyway affect the data on your hard drive.
- Dust Removal - from
about a year onwards your computer will have a substantial amount of
dust inside the case, if this is not cleaned, this can cause all sorts
of problems, from your computer getting to hot, to it keeping on
crashing, if this keeps happening your hardware could eventually over
heat and fail.
If you would like a more in depth check done then, we also perfom a full diagnostic test on both Laptops and Desktops.
This gives a more thorough test on your computer's hardware, takes longer and costs slightly more.
Our Diagnostic test includes:
- Full hardware test using professional diagnostic software
- A full Spyware and Virus check with a report of any virus that was found
- Check Operating System is running smoothly and efficiently
- Check the latest service packs and critical updates are installed (if applicable)
- Make sure the internal case is dust free
- Clean Heat sinks and fans
- Perform any minor repairs need
- Hard ware replacement or full software reinstall will be at an extra cost
If
you bring your Computer in for repairs, all we need is your base unit
plus any software with product licenses/license number and any CD's
that came with the computer, no mouse, keyboard, monitor or power cables are required.
