Data Retrieval And Transfer
Number One IT Systems offer three different types of data services, each one tailored to meet your needs.
- Data Backup -This is where we copy data from your working system to some external media (DVD, CD ROM, USB drive, etc)
- Data Backup Trouble shooting - Aimed more at a small business, with problems backing up to external media such as storage tapes, to either a single tape drive or a tape library.
- Data Recovery - If you hard drive is broken, or you have problems loading the operating system, due to it being corrupted, we use specialist tools to retreive data from the faulty drive and copy it to external medai, such as a flash drive ro DVD ROM, this would then be copied back to your computer, once your computer was fixed, giving the added benefit of backing up your data in the process.
- Data Cleansing - Process of removing or deleting all files from your computer, safely and securely and permanently.
Data Backup

Data Transfer
Have you brought a new computer and would like your data transferring from your old system to your new?

This can also be transferred to CD/DVD media, if you have software that requires installing then Number One IT Systems can do this, subject to software compatibility, i.e. if you have upgrade from windows 98 to XP, then your software may not be compatible, also the software installed has to come with a valid licence.
Data Destruction
We can destroy all data on your hard drive by performing a number of securtiy wipes, or we can destroy the drive and dispose of it safely for you.
With high rates of identity theft, it is best to make sure that all your information left on the hard drive is properly wiped, this could be any details including bank details, pin numbers, customer details etc, these days its no longer just to delete the files from your hard drive, as these could be easily recovered should the hard drive get into wrong hands.
